Episode 40: Thronesmaids!

Episode 40 brings us back to doing what we do- reviewing the bejeezus out of popular media!  Luckily this week we had a lot of tasty morsels to chew on in the accomplished comedy confection “Bridesmaids” starring Kristin Wiig and Maya Rudolph (as well as a host of established comediennes). Cindy and Corey also dive into a detailed discussion of the HBO swords and sorcery epic “Game of Thrones” that has everyone talking.  Our conversation then leads into a larger discussion of the state of current television programming and the obsession with the 80′s that continues to draw interest from Hollywood and our own nostalgia.  Enjoy!

In this special episode of CriticalMassCast, my good friend Shawn Keown lends his co-hosting talents to help bring a different flavour to the show with a discussion of the blockbuster movies of summer that just make you smile (and in some cases shudder violently).  Stay tuned for a fun chat of Iron Man 2, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and finally the A-team.  We will join you in part B with reviews of Clash of the Titans and less recent films like Sherlock Holmes, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.  We will end with a chat on the mythology of DC comic book superhero Green Lantern and his upcoming big screen adaptation coming in Summer 2011!
